Purdue has some top targets coming in this weekend from all over the country like Alabama, Minnesota, and Ohio. Now, they have scored another official visit from Colorado in the form of 2014 small forward target Ronnie Harrell.
Harrell informed 247Sports tonight that he will be visiting Purdue on September 14th for arguably their biggest football weekend of the year when they take on rival Notre Dame.
Standing at 6-7 and 170-pounds, Ronnie is a versatile prospect that can shoot the ball from distance. He also has the ability to take his man off the dribble and attack the rim. Harrell has a nice floater that can be lethal at times.
When Harrell visits the Boilermakers, he said he is looking for a few key things as this will be his first real chance to see what Purdue has to offer.
“Just checking out the facilities and meeting all the coaches,” Harrell said. “I think they will be playing Notre Dame so I’ll be looking at the fan support and the atmosphere. If it’s crazy and all that, that would be pretty cool.”
Purdue still only has one committed to their program for 2014. They have plenty of targets visiting over the next two months. They hope to load up on talent as the have as many as 5 scholarship offers to use.
Harrell holds offers from Kansas State, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State, Tulsa, Wyoming, and San Francisco. He will also visit Kansas State on October 12th for the Baylor game.
Kansas State and Arizona State have also been in the mix for Ronnie Harrell. Arizona State could also see an visit set up in the future.
