Purdue is currently scheduled to host four official visitors this weekend.
CB Shon Akins is a former Cal commit scheduled to visit Purdue this weekend.
Norcross (Ga.) High cornerback Shon Akins is a former California commit that decommitted earlier this month. The 5-foot-8, 170-pound Akins also has offers from Buffalo, Florida Atlantic, Fresno State, Middle Tennessee State and Troy.
Chicago (Ill.) Foreman defensive tackle Johnny Daniels is on commitment watch. He’ll be in West Lafayette after landing his Boilermakers scholarship on Tuesday. Northern Illinois has also offered.
Tallahassee (Fla.) North Florida Christian linebacker Garrett Hudson does not have an offer heading into the weekend. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Hudson can play several positions.
Atlanta (Ga.) Mays receiver Deangelo Yancey is currently committed to Kentucky. Other programs that offered includes N.C. State, Ole Miss and Wake Forest.
*Purdue remains in good shape with three others that took official visits last weekend in receiver Dan Monteroso, tight end Nate Wozniak and receiver Khoury Crenshaw. The Boilermakers have already landed verbals from defensive linemen Dezwan Polk and Antoine Miles and tight end Matt Burke, who all took officials last weekend as well.
